Basketball Game Preview: Fairview Warriors vs. Trinity Trojans

The Fairview Warriors will take on the Trinity Trojans in a tournament on Wednesday. Fairview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Trinity likes a good challenge.

If Fairview beats Trinity with 72 points on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Fairview blew past Liberty 72-46 on Saturday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Leopards are ranked 759th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keystone typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Trinity proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Wildcats 71-69. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Trojans were down 48-31 in the second quarter.

Fairview's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points over those games. As for Trinity, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Fairview beat Trinity 57-45 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Fairview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trinity turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
