Basketball Game Preview: Fort White Indians vs. Trenton Tigers

The Fort White Indians will square off against the Trenton Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Monday, Fort White was able to grind out a solid victory over Middleburg, taking the game 61-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Trenton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Dunnellon on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win.

Trenton's win came from a few key players Fort White will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nathan Ridgell, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Bullis, who went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Trenton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Fort White, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Fort White was taken down by Trenton 64-33 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fort White was down 39-19.
