 The Paris Eagles will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Hector Wildcats at 4:30  p.m. Given that  both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
 After a string of five wins, Paris' good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 11-3 walloping at the hands of Hackett.
  Kort Tencleve was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Tencleve was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Tencleve wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Konnor Edwards, who  went 3-for-4 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Paris  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 14  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hackett only tossed nine.
 Meanwhile, Hector came up short against Mountainburg on Monday and fell  7-4.
 Paris' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hector, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
