Basketball Preview: South Philadelphia Rams vs. Philadelphia Electric Charter
South Philadelphia is on a four-game streak of home losses, the a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The South Philadelphia Rams will take on Philadelphia Electric Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
South Philadelphia pushed their score all the way to 58 last Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to MAST Charter II 62-58.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia Electric Charter was beaten by the Rockets 73-35 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Philadelphia Electric Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 631st, while the Rockets are ranked 253rd).
South Philadelphia's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Philadelphia Electric Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
South Philadelphia won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2015, slipping by the 73-72. Will South Philadelphia repeat their success, or do the have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
