Football Recap: Stagg Falls to Liberty Ranch in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Stagg kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. The contest between the Delta Kings and the Liberty Ranch Hawks didn't end well, with the Delta Kings falling 41-26. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Stagg still got an impressive performance from Darnell Holmes, who rushed for 160 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. Holmes' longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Joe Lara was nothing short of spectacular for Liberty Ranch: he rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Lara also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, making four total tackles, and defending one pass. Andrew Quinn was another key player, rushing for 138 yards.

Stagg has already played their next match, a 56-0 win against Natomas on the 29th. As for Liberty Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 44-7 victory against Linden on the 29th.
