Soccer Game Preview: Northside vs. American Christian Academy

Northside is 0-5 against American Christian Academy since February of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Northside Rams will be playing at home against the American Christian Academy Patriots at 5:30 p.m.

Northside is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Montevallo on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, American Christian Academy put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Tarrant a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five games by ten goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Tarrant from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Anna Robbins led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

American Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those four matchups. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
