Baseball Recap: Junipero Serra Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Junipero Serra never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Padres have posted against the Wildcats since April 26, 2022.

Richie Calderon looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Junipero Serra's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ian Josephson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Junipero Serra's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
