Softball Recap: Jarrell Takes a Loss

Jarrell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Troy Trojans, falling 13-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 back in February.

Madison Bond made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two).

Jarrell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-2. As for Troy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Jarrell will welcome Life Waxahachie at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Jarrell has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Troy, they will take on Lake Belton in a tournament on Saturday.
