Union City had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Dresden Lions. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 11-1 win back in March.

Union City's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Dresden, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-11.

Coming up, Union City will be playing at home against Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering on Wednesday. As for Dresden, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Bradford on the 10th.
