Baseball Game Preview: Spanish River Sharks vs. St. Brendan Sabres

The Spanish River Sharks will square off against the St. Brendan Sabres at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Brendan took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Spanish River, who comes in off a win.

Spanish River took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Park Vista, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Spanish River had just enough and edged out Park Vista 5-3.

Spanish River's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Shane Price, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Price has become a key player for Spanish River: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

Meanwhile, St. Brendan came up short against Schoolhouse Prep on Wednesday and fell 5-2.

Spanish River's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for St. Brendan, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
