Soccer Game Preview: Great Bend vs. Garden City

Great Bend is 1-9 against Garden City since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Buffaloes at 6:30 p.m. Great Bend has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Great Bend came up short against Berean Academy on Tuesday, falling 5-2.

Meanwhile, Garden City faced Liberal in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Buffaloes never let the Redskins get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Garden City's victory bumped their record up to 9-1-1. As for Great Bend, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Great Bend might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Garden City in their previous meeting last Tuesday. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 4-1.
