Softball Recap: Mohave Comes Up Short

If Mohave was riding high fresh off their 21-11 takedown of Mingus last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Coconino Panthers on Friday, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Mohave's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Coconino, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mohave will face off against rival Lee Williams at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Coconino is set to take on their familiar foe Bradshaw Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
