Softball Recap: Illini West Comes Up Short

Illini West fell victim to Macomb and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 1-0. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hayden Wibbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Illini West's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Macomb, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-18.
