Flag Football Recap: Heritage's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain Vista, Heritage was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-6 win over the Regis Jesuit Raiders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Leading Heritage to victory were Maddy Walcott and Alena Shinabery. Walcott rushed for 45 yards and one touchdown, while Shinabery gained 102 total yards and a touchdown. Those 45 rushing yards gave Walcott a new career-high.

Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Emily Amundson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Addy Busek has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times she's played. Another thorn in Regis Jesuit's side was Mia Kidd, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles.

With the victory, Heritage broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11. As for Regis Jesuit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-13 win against Highlands Ranch on the 8th. As for Regis Jesuit, they have also already played their next game, a 40-6 loss against Douglas County on the 7th.
