Baseball Recap: Central Columbia Takes a Loss

Central Columbia extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 6-8. They fell 8-5 to the Lewisburg Green Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in April.

As for Lewisburg, they now have a winning record of 9-8. The win was familiar territory for they, who have now won four contests in a row.

For Lewisburg's part, Landen Wagner was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Wagner has become a key player for the Green Dragons: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Columbia is set to challenge their familiar foe Montoursville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lewisburg will face off against rival Midd-West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
