Dalynne Bussard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
NorthWood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Tippecanoe Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Tippecanoe Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: NorthWood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338.
