Baseball Recap: Potosi's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Potosi was riding high fresh off their 27-4 takedown of Ellington last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Vikings on Thursday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2016.

Potosi saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Blair, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Blair has been hot recently, having also posted two or more doubles the last three times he's played. Another was Edward Sansegraw, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Potosi's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Valley, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Potosi will square off against Ste. Genevieve at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley, they will take on Bunker at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
