After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sherman Oaks CES, Northridge Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the East Valley Falcons as they made off with a 22-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Pumas, who have now won 14 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Alondra Laguna was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Northridge Academy let Jackie Nettles and Alana Kramer run wild. Nettles went a perfect 5-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Kramer got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base.
