Basketball Game Preview: Paulding County Patriots vs. Cass Colonels

The Paulding County Patriots will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Cass Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paulding County has given up an average of 61.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Two weeks ago, Paulding County came up short against Dalton and fell 62-50.

Meanwhile, Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 73-59 bruising from Excel Christian Academy. On the bright side, the 59- point effort marked the Colonels' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Paulding County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cass, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Paulding County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Cass when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 71-65 win. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Colonels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
