Basketball Recap: Crawford County Comes Up Short

Crawford County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Schley County Wildcats, falling 73-15. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-29 back in December of 2024.

Crawford County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maliyah Stallion, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Stallion has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played.

Crawford County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Schley County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8.

Crawford County has already played their next game (against Webster County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Schley County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th.
