Baseball Recap: Belleview Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Belleview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They skirted past the Matanzas Pirates 3-2. For the Rattlers, this counts as revenge for the 10-9 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Belleview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shea Young, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Belleview now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Matanzas, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-23.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Belleview will face off against Mainland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Matanzas, they will square off against Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.18 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
