Basketball Game Preview: Fort Bend Kempner Cougars vs. Randle Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars face off against the Randle Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Fort Bend Kempner will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Fort Bend Kempner strolled past Warren Easton with points to spare, taking the game 59-43. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 430th in Texas, while the Fighting Eagles are ranked 97th in Louisiana).

Fort Bend Kempner got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Landen Parker out in front who posted ten points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Washington, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Randle beat Lamar Consolidated 56-50 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Fort Bend Kempner now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Randle, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Fort Bend Kempner strolled past Randle when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 58-40. Will Fort Bend Kempner repeat their success, or does Randle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
