Basketball Recap: West Boca Raton Bulls vs. American Heritage Stallions
The West Boca Raton Bulls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 72-51 walloping at the hands of American Heritage. West Boca Raton has not had much luck with the Stallions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
American Heritage found their leader in underclassman Xander Gerard, who scored 19 points along with five assists. Brendan Gerard was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
West Boca Raton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-12. As for American Heritage, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
West Boca Raton will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boynton Beach is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for American Heritage, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Atlantic Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Stallions are ranked 130th).
