Softball Game Preview: Bloomington Bruins vs. Corona Panthers

The Bloomington Bruins will venture away from home to take on the Corona Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bloomington managed to slip by Rialto the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bruins came up short against the Knights on Wednesday, falling 14-4. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angela Everardo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Corona waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Knights 13-3. 13 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Corona pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bloomington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
