Soccer Recap: Derry Takes a Loss

Derry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Mt. Pleasant Vikings. While losing is never fun, Derry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 514th, while Mt. Pleasant are ranked 241st).

Derry's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Mt. Pleasant, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Coincidentally, Derry and Mt. Pleasant will both be playing Yough the next time they take the pitch. The Vikings will host the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
