Basketball Recap: Frankenmuth Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Frankenmuth, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Lake Fenton Blue Devils 72-51 on Monday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caden Sommerfield continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8-for-15 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Labissoniere, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Frankenmuth was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Frankenmuth's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Lake Fenton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.
