Recap: Williston-Elko Blue Devils vs. Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denmark-Olar, the Williston-Elko Blue Devils were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took down Ridge Spring-Monetta 64-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Williston-Elko also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Ridge Spring-Monetta lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being James Bosket, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maury Bing, who scored six points.
The win got Williston-Elko back to even at 2-2. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Williston-Elko will finish 2023 at home by hosting Barnwell at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Barnwell is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.2 points per game. Ridge Spring-Monetta won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Blackville-Hilda at 11:00 a.m. on December 28, 2023. Blackville-Hilda is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
