Softball Recap: Weed Takes a Loss

Weed was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoopa Valley Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Monday.

Maddie LaDue was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Weed's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15-1. As for Hoopa Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weed will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Modoc at 2:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Hoopa Valley, they will welcome St. Bernard's at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
