Baseball Game Preview: Point Pleasant Boro Panthers vs. Barnegat Bengals

Point Pleasant Boro and Barnegat are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Bengals at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Point Pleasant Boro is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Toms River South just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 7-1.

Meanwhile, Barnegat posted their closest victory since April 20, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Lacey Township 2-1. The game was the first time the Bengals have beaten the Lions on their field since April 9, 2024.

Point Pleasant Boro's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Barnegat, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
