Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Mcintosh

McIntosh extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Grant Horn. The McIntosh Demons managed a 51-47 victory over the Millry Wildcats on Friday thanks in part to Horn, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Rivers, who posted seven points and ten rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of McIntosh's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 4-2 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

The win got McIntosh back to even at 5-5. As for Millry, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

McIntosh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-38 defeat against Jackson on the 4th. As for Millry, they will face off against Southern Choctaw at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Southern Choctaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
