Recap: Tri-Central Trojans vs. Anderson Prep Academy Jets
There's no place like home for the Tri-Central Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Anderson Prep Academy on Saturday as Tri-Central made off with a 67-41 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Tri-Central has posted since December 15, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Stetson Newcom, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Drake Ramseyer was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with three steals.
Several Jets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lincoln Fathauer, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zayden Finley, who scored eight points.
Tri-Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Central and Carroll will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Carroll is ranked 230th, while Tri-Central is ranked 228th). As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will be playing at home against Smith Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
