Softball Recap: Bishop Union Comes Up Short

If Bishop Union was feeling good fresh off their 20-8 takedown of Frazier Mountain last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Broncos came up short against the Rosamond Roadrunners on Friday, falling 9-3. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Roadrunners earlier this season, when they won 25-4.

Bishop Union saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Azul Aranzubia, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Bishop Union's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Rosamond, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-16-1 record this season.

Bishop Union will face off against Desert at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos are facing the Scorpions at the right time seeing as the Scorpions are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Rosamond, they will challenge Boron at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Roadrunners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
