Softball Preview: South Beloit Sobos vs. Christian Liberty Chargers

South Beloit is a perfect 3-0 against Christian Liberty since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Sobos will face off against the Chargers at 11:00 a.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, South Beloit made easy work of Harvest Christian Academy and carried off a 15-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sobos.

Whitney Schnack was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Annabelle Dascher and Taniyah Crawford did most of the damage at the plate: Dascher scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Crawford scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
