Mt. Vernon put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Western Boone Stars. The Marauders were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Stars, so the Marauders were just returning the favor.

Mt. Vernon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelia Anderson, who had 13 assists and six digs.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Western Boone, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Mt. Vernon will host Guerin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western Boone, they will take on Zionsville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
