Football Recap: Holland Hall Starts Season with Win at Home

Holland Hall gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cascia Hall Commandos with a sharp 27-6 win. This was payback for the Dutch, who suffered a 29-28 loss the last time these two teams met.

Holland Hall's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Burleson, who threw for 154 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 49 yards. Roman Lepak made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Holland Hall's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Sam Schaffer was the leader with two. Lepak got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holland Hall is headed away from home for the first time to take on Will Rogers College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cascia Hall, they will head out to challenge Rejoice Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
