Basketball Game Preview: UR Academy Lions vs. Heritage Christian Eagles

The UR Academy Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Heritage Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (UR Academy has four straight victories, Heritage Christian has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If UR Academy beats Heritage Christian with 69 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. UR Academy took down Judah Christian Academy 69-53 on Tuesday.

Jordan Miller and Gabriel Thompson were among the main playmakers for UR Academy as the former dropped a double-double on 30 points and 16 boards and the latter went 14 of 22 en route to 31 points and five assists. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 17 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brysen Parker, who posted six points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Victory Christian Academy and fell 77-48.

UR Academy pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
