The Southside Christian Patriots entered their tilt with the Victory Christian Academy Soldiers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Southside Christian secured a 46-41 W over the Soldiers on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Southside Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Victory Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Matthew Sutherin, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Sutton, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and eight assists.
Southside Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
