Volleyball Preview: NorthWood Panthers vs. Wawasee Warriors
NorthWood is a perfect 10-0 against Wawasee since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Wawasee took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on NorthWood, who comes in off a win.
NorthWood took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Lakeland as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
NorthWood was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-11.

NorthWood found their leader in sophomore Nola Nephew, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Nephew.
NorthWood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.
Meanwhile, Wawasee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to West Noble.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7, 25-7.
Wawasee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-25. As for NorthWood, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
NorthWood was able to grind out a solid win over Wawasee in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
