Chugiak faced Valdez in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Buccaneers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Audrey Parks paced Chugiak's offense, picking up nine kills. Parks got some help from Oliviya Rodriguez and her 23 assists. Elise Kelley and Kinley Jo Adams kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Chugiak's victory bumped their record up to 28-12-1. As for Valdez, their loss dropped their record down to 40-11-1.

Chugiak has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Dimond on the 25th. Valdez does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
