Softball Recap: Shadow Hills Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Shadow Hills and Whittier Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Shadow Hills had to settle for second. They lost 12-0 to the Heralds. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the defeat, Shadow Hills broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-4. As for Whittier Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Shadow Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whittier Christian, they will host Los Alamitos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Griffins will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Heralds surely won't give up without a fight.
