Soccer Recap: Cedar Grove Takes a Loss

Cedar Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Verona Hillbillies. While losing is never fun, Cedar Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Verona are ranked 14th).

Cedar Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Verona, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Grove will take on Montclair Kimberley Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Verona, they will face off against Caldwell on Saturday.
