Football Recap: Lincoln Starts Season with Loss at Home

Lincoln unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Woodland Park Panthers on Friday, falling 68-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Nathan Summeril had a dynamite game For Woodland Park., picking up 91 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 91 receiving yards gave Summeril a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Bischoff, who rushed for 40 yards and one score.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Peyton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodland Park, they will take on Salida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
