Basketball Recap: Gloucester Catholic Takes a Loss

Gloucester Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between the Gloucester Catholic Rams and the Washington Township Minutemen didn't end well, with the Gloucester Catholic Rams falling 58-44. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Minutemen earlier this season, when they won 61-52.

Gloucester Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Washington Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season.

Gloucester Catholic and Washington Township could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. Gloucester Catholic (ranked 320th) will meet St. Joseph (ranked 78th) on Friday. Meanwhile, Washington Township will square off against Central Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday down 232 places (256 vs. 24).
