Somerset hadn't done well against Baldwin-Woodville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Spartans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Blackhawks a 1-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Blackhawks on Tuesday, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.

Somerset is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
