On Friday, Ashley Ridge faced Summerville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes walked away with a 60-48 win over the Summerville Green Wave. The victory was nothing new for the Swamp Foxes as they're now sitting on 22 straight.

It was another big night for Skyla Tuthill, who posted 20 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Johnson, who scored 12 points and five rebounds.

Ashley Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summerville only racked up six assists.

Despite the loss, Summerville still got an impressive performance from Cailah Tucker, who went 6-for-15 on her way to 16 points and six boards. Tucker has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Daugherty, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Ashley Ridge pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Summerville, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-3.

Ashley Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 54-42 victory against James Island on the 11th. As for Summerville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-46 win against West Ashley on the 11th.
