Basketball Game Preview: Desert Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Dana Hills Dolphins

Having just played yesterday, the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors will jump right back in to play the Dana Hills Dolphins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Desert Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Desert Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Orange Glen 90-20 on Friday. The Conquerors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Augustine Youssef, who went 14 for 20 on his way to 33 points and three steals. The contest was his 19th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Reynolds, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Desert Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 82-19 stomp they got against Orange Glen. That 63 point margin sets a new team best for the Dolphins this season.

Dana Hills is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Desert Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
