Basketball Recap: Colleton County Takes a Loss

Colleton County lost against Bamberg-Ehrhardt on December 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Colleton County Cougars fell 53-42 to the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Red Raiders are ranked 42nd).

Colleton County's loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bamberg-Ehrhardt, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colleton County will take on Hampton County in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bamberg-Ehrhardt and Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on December 26th.
