Softball Recap: Casteel Comes Up Short

Hamilton hit Casteel with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colts fell 7-3 to the Huskies. The Colts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Casteel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KJ Tipton, who went 1-for-4 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Tipton has hit this season.

Casteel's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Hamilton, they pushed their record up to 15-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Casteel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-1 loss against Queen Creek on the 27th. As for Hamilton, they have also already played their next game, an 11-5 defeat against Liberty on the 24th.
