Winter Springs waltzed into their game on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Lake Brantley Patriots by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 last Tuesday.

Tripp Rosenberger looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Dameron, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Luke Walters, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Winter Springs pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Brantley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9-1 record this season.
