Soccer Game Preview: Yulee vs. Stanton

Yulee is 0-5 against Stanton since January of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Hornets will square off against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Yulee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Parker an 8-0 shutout. Considering Yulee have won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanton). Everything went their way against Ribault on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-0 victory. It was an even better day for Piper Halil as she scored three goals for her team.

Yulee is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those eight contests. As for Stanton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Yulee might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Stanton in their previous meeting back in November of 2025. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
